The story behind Monique Wiedijk
Monique Wiedijk was born and raised in Amsterdam and has now lived in Heerhugowaard for 20 years. Her interest in mortgages arose during her time at Rabobank, where she worked in various departments. Especially the dynamics of mortgages appealed to her: helping clients make their housing wishes come true, interacting with different parties and making sure everything is arranged properly and on time.
Monique came to VLIEG via her former colleague Anne Speets. She has been with VLIEG for over a year now and uses her broad experience daily to help customers, consultants and colleagues. Outside of work Monique enjoys doing fun things with her family and friends. She can also often be found on the sidelines playing soccer with her sons.
What does Monique mean to VLIEG?
Monique plays an important role within VLIEG’s mortgage team. Together with the mortgage advisor, she ensures that clients can buy their dream home. She assists in making appointments, maintains contact with clients, notaries, appraisers and lenders and collects the necessary documents. She also carefully checks these documents for content so that files can be submitted completely and correctly.
In addition, Monique monitors the progress of mortgage files. She keeps a sharp eye on deadlines, actions and agreements. Clients and advisors are proactively informed, so everyone knows where they stand. As coordinator, Monique also monitors the daily planning and work distribution within the team. She identifies bottlenecks, thinks about solutions and is a first point of contact for colleagues.
Her goal is clear: happy customers, happy colleagues and a way of working that is clear, uniform and efficient. Monique believes it is important to continuously improve services and processes so that customers at VLIEG are served in the best possible way.
