About the location and neighbourhood:
This apartment is located on Uilenburg Island, which is part of the historic Nieuwmarkt neighbourhood/Lastage. This is one of the oldest and idyllic parts of Amsterdam and almost everything is within walking distance, including the Central Station, the Nieuwmarkt and all the amenities that the city centre has to offer. Every Saturday, the Nieuwmarkt is filled with stalls and there is an organic market. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a drink at one of the always lively cafés. For fun and relaxation, visit the nearby Royal Theatre Carré, the Hermitage, Artis, Hortus Botanicus, the Rembrandthuis, the Muziektheater, the Kleine Komedie and numerous nearby eateries and cinemas. The property is very easy to reach by public transport as the Nieuwmarkt metro station is only 500 metres away. Amsterdam CS is also within walking distance (900 metres). By car, there is a good connection to the arterial roads via the IJ tunnel.

We enter through a gate in the courtyard garden and from there we reach the lift or stairs to the third floor. The storerooms are located on the ground floor and the general bicycle storage is located behind the complex where there is also a communal garden by the waterside. The intercom was renewed in 2022 with a phone app.

Behind the front door, we enter the entrance/draft portal with behind it the hallway that provides access to all areas of the apartment and stands in an open connection with the living room.
