WOZ value
Are you the owner or tenant of a house? If so, you can expect a WOZ assessment every year that contains the WOZ value of your property. This usually happens in the first two months of the year.
The municipality uses the value date of January 1 of the previous year to calculate the WOZ value. The publication of this, is what we call the WOZ assessment. This order contains personal data of the recipient, the date and the designation of the property.
But what matters, of course, is the WOZ value. You will also find these in this decision, as well as the value date and the calendar year for which this WOZ value applies.
Increase or decrease the WOZ value?
What exactly happens when your WOZ value changes? That depends on whether it is an increase or a decrease. For example, it is possible to negotiate a lower mortgage rate when you are facing an increase. With a reduction, you can save on the aforementioned taxes.
