The story behind Jaimy Spronk
Jaimy Spronk is a commercial assistant at VLIEG Makelaars in Amsterdam and brings with her a fresh blend of legal expertise, customer focus and culinary passion. She grew up in South Limburg and has since made herself at home in the capital. Her career began in criminal law, but the desire to be closer to people and experience more dynamism brought her to brokerage.
Through a job posting that noticed that people from other backgrounds had also started at VLIEG, her interest was piqued. Puzzling on Funda and buying and selling her own home was the deciding factor: this was to be her new direction. Since June 2025, Jaimy has been active at VLIEG, and no day has been the same since.
What does Jaimy Spronk mean to VLIEG?
Jaimy supports the brokerage team in a wide range of activities. She manages brokers’ calendars, schedules appointments, makes sure homes are optimally prepared for placement on Funda and processes agreements. She ensures that the customer journey runs smoothly from beginning to end. The busy Amsterdam office is often very busy, but it’s the variety and hectic pace that makes Jaimy’s work fun.
Her goal is clear: to become a real estate agent as soon as possible and, not unimportantly, to get an office dog. Meanwhile, she regularly provides her colleagues with homemade baked goods or other culinary surprises.
For what qualities is Jaimy known?
Jaimy is valued for her curiosity, persuasiveness and solution orientation. Her legal background allows her to quickly get to the heart of complex information and spot details that others miss. She thinks in possibilities and keeps an overview in busy situations.
Her analytical ability and meticulous work make her a rock within the team. And while her love of legal detail is not always shared by every colleague, it is a quality that is of great value in the real estate profession.

Jaimy enjoys cooking, eating out, a good glass of wine and discovering new restaurants in Amsterdam. She also likes to read – in the sun or under a blanket on the couch – and in the summer she prefers to stand on her supboard.
In the workplace, she enjoys building long-term client contact and guiding people through an often stressful period. Especially clients who have little experience with the buying or selling process in the Netherlands – such as expats – she provides overview and confidence in a calm manner.
What is her greatest success story?
Although Jaimy has only been employed for a short time, she experiences her greatest moments when she finds that clients trust her and feel safe in the process. When she can put a client at ease and relieve tension, her mission is accomplished. That’s what she does it for.
