Three years ago, Amy began her adventure at VLIEG, a move that would take her career in a new direction. Hailing from Haarlem and working in the Zaandam branch, this energetic 27-year-old has a passion for fitness. She also loves going to the terrace with friends.
Her journey began without any experience in the industry, but a spontaneous interest led her to pursue real estate training during the corona pandemic. In June 2020, she ventured into real estate. Amy’s perseverance came to fruition when she applied to VLIEG in late 2020 for an inside sales representative position (a logical choice given her lack of experience at the time).
Although her first attempt was unsuccessful – the position had already been given away – Amy did not let herself get discouraged. An unexpected turn of events led her to another branch where she was able to work not only as inside sales but also in field sales. This experience offered her the opportunity to develop many skills and gain a deeper understanding of both the operational and client-facing facets of the real estate business. Amy’s story is an inspiring example of how flexibility, a willingness to learn and perseverance can lead to success.

Amy Korstanje has quickly become an indispensable member of the VLIEG team. Her learning curve was steep: from performing routine inside sales tasks to competently taking over outside sales functions. For this, Amy learned a lot about the real estate market in a short period of time.
In her current role at VLIEG, Amy deals with almost all aspects of the real estate process, excluding initial sales recordings. She performs appraisals, handles notary transfers and provides inspections. This versatility makes her a valuable all-rounder whose efforts contribute directly to the company’s efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What is Amy's greatest success story?
One of Amy’s proudest moments in her career was when she was unexpectedly given the responsibility of taking over after the departure of her supervisor. This situation presented significant challenges, but also provided Amy with an opportunity to show her true potential. During a two-month bridging period before her new colleague Carel took office, she managed all pending files and ensured that all processes ran smoothly.
Her ability to act quickly, communicate effectively and think strategically was evident during this period. Amy’s dedication and skill ensured that all files were transferred accurately and on time. This made for a seamless transition when Carel joined Fly Zaanstad. He now works for VLIEG Zaanstad as branch manager.

We had the transfer of our home with Edwin.

Selling your home is still a very different story once it involves your own home. You sometimes have questions that you may know , but still want to check just to be sure.
Edwin was always available when we had these types of questions. In addition when administrative matters needed to be taken care of (photos, forms for signing) Amy took care of it right away.
